Daisuke Hirakawa(平川 大輔Hirakawa Daisuke?, born 4 June 1973 in Niigata Prefecture) is a Japanese voice actor. He is sometimes mistaken for fellow voice actor Daisuke Namikawa, as their names only differ by one character when written in kanji. He is the official Japanese voice actor for Orlando Bloom. For some roles, he is also known as Hirai Tatsuya.

Career

At first, as he enjoyed playing with his friends' children, he wanted to become an infant caretaker. However, he suddenly changed his mind and became a voice actor.

He has done Japanese voice-overs for two of Orlando Bloom's characters, Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean and Kingdom Hearts II, and Legolas from The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

Personal

His hobbies are cooking, skiing, and snowboarding.

He has admitted to being a hetare (scaredycat). The subject came up on a radio show with Sanae Kobayashi, and the two self-styled hetares seemed to have formed a 'hetare union', although it is not clear whether there are any other members.

He had never been abroad before - until his stay during the Say-U event in South Korea which took place on 15 November 2008, with fellow voice actors Ken Narita and Wataru Hatano.[citation needed]

It’s the third game of our favorite steam punk otome game, Code:Realize, and it’s kinda Christmas themed! This is a really long spoiler-heavy post about the game, and I think I had too much fun writing the details of the Cantarella and Christmas stories, so they are extra long ahahaaha ^_^;; The Finis and Sholmes after stories are better written though! ・´∀`・)
